Ace is an Award of Merit recipient, earning recognition in specialty competition among an already accomplished field of Dachshunds
100 GCH Points • Multiple Hound Group Placer
Ace earned 100 Grand Championship points to achieve his AKC Bronze Grand Champion title. His campaign included 20 GCH major wins under 19 different major judges.
Ace proved he could stand out beyond the Dachshund ring, earning both a Hound Group 2 and a Hound Group 4 in all-breed competition.
Ace earned 8 Puppy of Achievement points before beginning his mature show career. He later completed his AKC Championship with 15 points, including 3 majors under 3 different judges, defeated Champions at 24 events, and accumulated 56 AKC recorded awards.
Ace has produced successful titled offspring, including a Bronze Grand Champion, demonstrating that his value extends beyond his own show record.
Ace has proven himself at virtually every level of competition: as a promising puppy, a class dog earning his Championship, a Champion competing toward his Grand Championship, a 100-point Bronze Grand Champion, a nationally ranked Miniature Wire, an Award of Merit recipient, a multiple Hound Group placer, and now as a sire of accomplished offspring.
His résumé is not defined by a single title or one standout win. It is the depth, consistency, and longevity of the entire record that makes Ace special.
We are extremely proud to have GCHB CH Hunu Double Or Nothing MW “Ace” representing the future of Up North Dachshunds — UPND LLC and Kentucky Bluegrass Wirehair Dachshunds.

King completed his UKC Championship in a single weekend, an accomplishment that speaks to how quickly multiple judges recognized his quality in the ring.
King has earned AKC points and multiple Winners Dog placements as he has progressed through his AKC campaign. His documented wins include Winners Dog at the Country Music Cluster in Nashville and repeated Winners Dog placements at the Cotton Cluster in Rainsville, Alabama.
King has also earned Winners Dog at Dachshund specialty competition in Perry, Georgia, under multiple judges. Specialty wins are especially meaningful because the dog is being evaluated within concentrated breed competition rather than only in an all-breed setting.
King’s résumé extends well beyond conformation. His CGCA, CGCU, TKN, TKI, VHMP, VHMA, and SPOT titles demonstrate trainability, manners, and versatility in addition to his success in the show ring.
King represents what we want in a foundation Wirehaired Dachshund: a dog capable of earning recognition across multiple conformation venues while also demonstrating the temperament and trainability required to earn companion and manners titles.
His record is especially meaningful because it was built across multiple venues. As an International Champion, UKC Champion, AKC-pointed dog, specialty winner, and companion-titled Dachshund, King has demonstrated quality in both the show ring and everyday life.
🧬 Polish import
🇵🇱 Red Horses FCI breeding
🍫 Chocolate & Tan Dapple Wirehair
🐾 Miniature European Wirehaired pedigree
🏆 Champion-rich international ancestry
🧬 Sambor Red Horses × Nutilove Red Horses
Huzar brings a pedigree built from established European miniature and kaninchen Wirehaired Dachshund families, with ancestry extending through Red Horses FCI, di Casa Mainardi, Lisego Nosa, Vitoraz, von der Windecke, von Rainerschlössl, and od Zamise lines.
His pedigree is not simply imported for novelty or color. Several of the dogs behind him represent generations of European conformation breeding, including dogs holding international, national, WUT, and world-level distinctions.
Huzar is sired by Sambor Red Horses. Through Sambor, Huzar descends from Don Corleone Red Horses and Crostatina di Casa Mainardi.
Don Corleone is documented as a Red Horses-bred rabbit wirehaired Dachshund from Poland, sired by Lisego Nosa Moy Marmeladny and out of Bandola Red Horses.
One of the more interesting dogs appearing behind Huzar is Lisego Nosa Moy Marmeladny, an International Champion whose pedigree connects into heavily titled European dogs such as Klaurius Richard ot Mariny Kuranovoy and Sweetax Federico Fellini. Federico Fellini is recorded with an extensive championship résumé spanning multiple countries and major European titles.
Huzar’s pedigree also carries a substantial di Casa Mainardi influence.
His ancestry includes Carlo Alberto di Casa Mainardi, a miniature Wirehaired Dachshund whose recorded achievements include:
WUT Junior World Champion • Russian Junior Champion • Polish Champion • Ukrainian Champion • International Beauty Champion • International Show Champion
Casa Mainardi also documents Carlo Alberto as clear on eye examination, Crd-PRA and osteogenesis imperfecta testing.
.
Another important ancestor is Saracen Red Horses, who appears behind the maternal side shown in your pedigree.
Saracen is documented as the sire of multiple Red Horses descendants and traces directly to Carlo Alberto di Casa Mainardi. The same family has continued producing internationally successful descendants.
For Kentucky Bluegrass Wirehair Dachshunds and Up North Dachshunds, Huzar represents an opportunity to bring another branch of established European Wirehair genetics into the program.
His pedigree combines Red Horses FCI breeding with influential di Casa Mainardi and Lisego Nosa ancestry, backed by generations containing international and national champions.
We value him not simply because he is imported, dapple, or chocolate, but because he offers another piece of pedigree diversity from families with a documented history in the Wirehaired Dachshund.
Color catches the eye. Pedigree, structure, health, and contribution to the next generation are what give that color purpose.
